Pop-Up Vernissage

Munich 2021

The exhibited works are part of the «Culture Bonding» series and were created between August 2021 and March 2022. A small watercolor was the starting point for the large paintings. To achieve the lightness and transparency of the watercolor in the oil painting, I used raw pigments.

«Culture Bonding» refers to the place where the ivy grows through the cracks: the Neue Pinakothek Museum in Munich. It has always been a hermetic house without exchange or progression. The decay of the museum is omnipresent, ivy the only living thing to reclaim this place.
