The exhibition at Kunstverein München took place on the occasion of the poetry reading «meine drei lyrischen ichs» (engl. my three lyrical selves). This Munich literature series invites an artistic position alongside three poets who are among the most exciting new voices in contemporary poetry in Germany.

My exhibited works give an insight into the topic of breastfeeding. The occasion for my painting of this motif was the birth of my second child. Each picture has a different focus, but intimacy is something they all have in common. Breastfeeding is just one aspect of a bigger picture. I am interested in motherhood, the role of a woman within the family and, subsequently, in the society in which she is socialized.
